Bullet Points From The Tour

1. ASD has incredible value in the Middle School. In my opinion, there is at least $50 million in value in the structure
of this very sound building. It is poured, reinforced concrete and looks as solid as the day it was completed.

2. It is built with 5 modules which would be relatively simple to isolate and renovate.

3- The science wing looks to be only 30 years old - that fact has been ignored in all the reports I have read.

4. The gyms are in fine shape.

5. The water damage on the west wall looks like a roof drainpipe that backed up and flooded the floor. That is a simple repair.

6. The plumbing and electrical throughout have easy access with what appears 10-foot drop ceilings with ample access above.

7. My evaluation of the HVAC is that there are many options to improve it.

8. There is wonderful natural light throughout the building; the blinds in the classrooms are a detriment. Put new blinds on the
    windows along the west.

9. The first order of business is the roof. It is beyond service life roll roofing, has not been maintained and is a mess. The roof
penetrations all need new boots and the machinery on the roof is mounted on rotting timber. This is a very doable job with the
modular construct. There are 5 sections to the building each with a dividing block wall. One section can be repaired at a time.

10. All the bathrooms need complete renovations.

11. Classrooms are large enough and easily modified. Several have already eliminated the central offices, incorporating that space
     into adjacent rooms.

12. The library is beautiful. The idea that we would destroy such a beautiful library, then build another is a crazy waste of
     taxpayers' money!

13. I can't believe that either school leadership, or the board walked through this building and saw what I observed. The descriptions
I've heard are so much worse than what actually exists. I trust ICS even less after my visit today.
ICS has not served our community well.
